Overview

The Statements on Standards for Tax Services(SSTSs) are enforceable standards on all AICPA members.

This seminar will cover the history of the SSTSs and their relation to tax services performed by all AICPA members. This session will include:

• The history of the SSTSs and SRTPs
• Their relationship to the AICPA Code of Conduct, Circular 230, and other Code Sections and Regulations
• How they relate to the current practice environment
• Examples of current ethical issues

Gerard Schreiber Jr.

Jerry Schreiber. is a Partner in the Louisiana accounting firm of Schreiber & Schreiber. He received his BBA from Loyola University. He is a member of the AICPA, SLCPA, and New Orleans Estate Planning Council. He is currently Chair of the AICPA Disaster Relief Task Force and has served on many AICPA Committees and has spoken at FICPA events in the past on disaster and hurricane matters. 

He has appeared on IRS' Tax Talk Today and Nationwide Tax Forums and authored continuing education courses on Individual Income Taxes, IRS Practice and Procedure, Current Developments, Casualty Losses, Hurricane Katrina Tax Matters, GO Zone Act, and Circular 230.
