CPA Personal Financial Planning Boot Camp (PFPB)
8.0 Credits
Member Price $350.00
Non-Member Price $475.00
Overview
CPA financial planners have never been more in-demand with personal financial planning projected to grow two times faster than tax compliance services alone. An AICPA survey of high-income and high-net-worth consumers revealed that two out of three seek advice on tax and financial planning topics from a CPA.
That presents CPA financial planners with an opportunity to understand their clients' entire financial picture and to help them plan comprehensively.
The FICPA, in partnership with CPAlliance (a division of CPS Investment Advisors) is offering this unique boot camp to help CPAs who offer tax, retirement, estate, risk management and investment planning services to become CPA financial planners.
To help CPAs launch a successful financial planning practice, the full-day program covers:
- Becoming a Financial Planner
- The CPA Financial Planner Playbook
- Financial Planning and Investments 101
- Building and Integrating Your CPA Financial Planning Practice
It concludes with veteran and new practitioners sharing how they successfully incorporated financial planning into their thriving practice.

Tony is a Brooklyn native, a graduate of Florida State University, a championship bowler, husband to Jessica, and father to Sophia & Mason. When he's not participating in BBQ competitions, Tony can be found coaching his son's baseball team, cheering on his daughter at her horse jumping competitions, or taking the CPS golf cart for a spin in his neighborhood.
Growing up in a large Italian family, and in the New York home his family owned for more than 50 years, Tony can trace his love of finance to his grandfather. After school, Tony's grandfather made sure Tony completed his math homework before anything else. For his entire career, Grandpa was a bookkeeper and accountant for the city's electric workers. Tony knew early on he wanted to follow in his grandfather's footsteps.
Tony moved to Tallahassee, Florida, where he studied Finance at Florida State University, and while there, he was the president of the FSU Bowling Club and led the team to its highest ever finish, 2nd place during the 2000-2001 season. After graduating in 2003, Tony combined his love of finance and bowling by both working and training at The KEGEL Co., the world's best bowling manufacturer and training center in Lake Wales, Florida. Tony joined CPS Investment Advisors in 2010 as a portfolio trader and analyst. Shortly after, he passed the Series 65 exam and then passed the CFP® exam to earn the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.
As a financial advisor, Tony has a fiduciary responsibility to his clients-always placing their best interests above his own. His work experience is comprised of more than 17 years of accounting and financial planning, which he uses to build comprehensive plans for his clients to achieve their version of financial independence. Tony understands every individual has their own set of unique goals and objectives and is in need of a financial planning roadmap completely tailored for them.
When he's not assisting clients with their financial plans, Tony's crafting his winning recipes at local BBQ competitions. He is the resident grill master at CPS and often caters the office holiday parties. So bring your questions about bowling, BBQ, golf, or finance, and you'll have an advisor for a lifetime!

Outdoor adventures, especially those involving water, have always been a significant part of Rachael's life. She loves camping, kayaking, and spending days at the beach with her family.
