The International Tax Conference Boot Camp is a one-day program that helps you master need-to-know skills and trends in the international tax realm. It provides you with a foundational understanding of international inbound and outbound taxation and tax forms.  

The Boot Camp prepares you for the Jan. 9-10 International Tax Conference, a can’t-miss CPE event for global CPAs. If you advise clients across borders, this conference, presented in partnership with the Florida Bar Tax Section, will cover everything you need to know to navigate multiple jurisdictions and comply with international laws.

*Registration cutoff date: January 2nd, 2025, 4:00pm est. Attendees must register before the cutoff to be included in this years International Tax Conference Boot Camp Livestream.

CPE Credit

This conference will qualify for 8 Technical Business (TB) hours, subject to approval by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

CLE Credit

CLE credit is awarded by The Florida Bar. You must select you wish to earn CLE from the sessions menu during the registration process. Please provide the FICPA with your FL BAR number to receive your CLE course codes for self reporting.

IRS CE Credit

IRS Continued Education Credit can be awarded for participation in this conference. CE credit is reported to the IRS on the registrants behalf. You must select you wish to earn IRS CE from the sessions menu during the registration process and provide the FICPA with your PTIN within 10 days of the conclusion of the conference for the FICPA to report your CE credits. Registrants can provide their PTIN by emailing cpe@ficpa.org or completing the post event survey.

Arthur Dichter

Arthur J. Dichter is a Director of International Tax Services with Berkowitz Pollack Brant, Advisors and Accountants. Mr. Dichter  has over 25 years of experience assisting international private clients and foreign trusts with income tax planning, cross-border estate planning, pre-immigration planning, and US compliance and reporting matters. Dichter has been a guest lecturer at the University of Miami School of Law and is a frequent speaker at international tax and STEP conferences.  He serves on the Board of Directors for the STEP Miami Branch and is Chairman of the Finance Committee. He is also a member of the Tax Section of the Florida Bar and has served on the International Tax Committee of the FICPA.

Carlos Somoza

Carlos A. Somoza leads Kaufman Rossin's international tax services practice. He has more than 25 years of experience in federal income, gift and estate taxation. He has served clients in the private and public industries, advising them in the areas of international taxation, taxable acquisitions and tax-free reorganizations, IRS litigation and related tax compliance.

Carlos provides international inbound and outbound planning for U.S. and foreign multinational corporations, including foreign tax credit planning and structuring utilizing the Entity Classification tax provisions. He provides estate planning and pre-immigration planning for foreign, high-net worth individuals. He also assists clients with the IRS Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program, as well as compliance with the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act.

Carlos is involved with the Florida International University, serving as the Chair of the FIU Honors College Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Christopher Columbus Alumni Association.
