Talent Accelerator

Retreat to Accelerate

A powerful synergy emerges when teams and leadership step out of their comfort zones for focused retreats and strategic planning sessions. Retreats and planning sessions align commitment, resolve outstanding issues, clarify course corrections and provide clarity.

Firm retreats bring leadership teams closer together.

Leadership retreats help create a firm that attracts and engages top talent by asking and answering the tough questions:

  • How can we up our talent management game?
  • Do we have the right people in the right positions?
  • What is our growth strategy?
  • Can we articulate our business philosophy?
  • How do we want to grow?
  • What is our three- to five-year plan?
  • What is our client value proposition?
  • What is our employee value proposition?
  • How do we envision success?
  • Does our plan support our mission and values?

Before the retreat, the FICPA’s prep work includes distributing and analyzing delegate surveys, developing an agenda, researching and planning activities, collecting feedback, and recommending ways to continue the momentum, allowing you to focus on the future.

We can also provide affordable firm retreat venue space for up to 50 people in both Orlando and Tampa.

Strategy, Planning and Employee Engagement Sessions

Before a team can stay the course, they need to understand and value their unique and individual role in the success of the firm. Engage with the FICPA for strategy, planning and employee engagement sessions that put wind behind the sails of your mission, vision and strategic plan.

The power of your potential comes from putting people first.

Successful accounting firms have four priorities: people, processes, planning and profits. To stay relevant, firms need to be responsive to change and people need to feel committed and attached.

Following a detailed needs analysis with leadership, employee engagement surveys are distributed to assess employee engagement from psychological, behavioral and emotional perspectives (strengths and weaknesses) in categories including:

  • Executive leadership/management.
  • Performance management and recognition.
  • Communication, camaraderie, and community involvement.
  • Onboarding, career pathing and succession planning.
  • Organizational and individual adaptability with changing goals/technologies.

The information is aggregated and shared during in-person team sessions (live or virtual) that highlight results, discuss action plans, and define solutions customized to your firm’s strengths and needs.

This session identifies staff who are ready for more senior positions, who need specific hard and soft skill training and who are superstars.

Leadership Development Program (LDP)

With talent shortages and leadership pipeline development challenges repeatedly heard as a key concern from FICPA member firms, we developed a bespoke Leadership Development Program for organizations to roll out to their soon-to-be leaders in a customized, white-labeled solution. The LDP program is a talent-centric solution to help with the acquisition, engagement, leadership and retention of your most valued resource – your people.

We partnered with Jeremy Wortman of HRD Initiatives to develop a program that enforces your commitment to the positive engagement and development of individuals.

Our LDP program helps your organization accelerate growth and build talent/leadership bench strength using our cohort-based model while experiencing economies of scale.

  • Create authentic, emotionally intelligent, strengths-based transformational leaders.
  • Recognize the incredible power of the immediate manager in employee engagement or disengagement.
  • Build confidence and authenticity using validated assessments.
  • Learn how to lead and leverage different personalities.
  • Build resilience to effectively bounce back from ongoing changes and adversity.
  • Build strategic leadership competencies.
