Laura Youmans serves as Legislative Counsel for the Florida Association of Counties where she specializes in the issues of local government finance and tax. Ms. Youmans has been with the F.A.C. since 2015 in that time she has represented Florida’s counties before the Florida Legislature and the 2017-18 Constitution Revision Commission. A member of the Florida Bar, she has also filed Amicus briefs on behalf of the FAC and the Florida Association of County Attorneys. She began her career as an Assistant County Attorney in Leon County, Florida from 2005 until 2015.
