About The Instructor

Ms. Grant is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Planner, a Personal Financial Specialist and an NASD Registered Investment Advisor and holds a Life, Health and Variable Annuity License from the State of Florida. Previously, she was a Partner with another local firm and associated with a national firm. Her area of practice includes tax and financial planning for closely held business, their shareholders and families, high net worth individuals and international tax planning and compliance. Active in professional organizations, Ms. Grant serves on the Personal Financial Planning executive Committee of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Editorial Board of the Journal of Accountancy. She recently completed terms on the Personal Financial Planning Executive Committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and on the Investment Advisory Council of the Florida State Board of Administration. She is Editor's Forum of Vive Magazine. Ms. Grant is involved with United Jewish Community of Broward County and The American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Ms. Grant has been quoted on various topics by the Miami Herald, Fortune Magazine, Accounting Today, Journal of Accountancy, Consumer Reports, Bloomberg Wealth Advisor and Business Week and has been featured among Accounting Today's "Names to Know in Financial Planning." Her article entitled "Fiscal Year Non-Conformity" was voted Best Article of the Year by The Tax Advisor. Ms. Grant also lectures to professional, business and civic organizations regarding tax and personal financial planning matters. Ms. Grant received a Master's Degree in Taxation from Florida International University in 1989 and Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Management from Ithaca College in 1980.
