Elizabeth Hennig is Chief Financial Officer and SVP Finance, Planning, and Strategic Initiatives of ZooTampa at Lowry Park. The Zoo is operated by the Lowry Park Zoological Society, a 501(c)(3) organization committed to excellence in family fun, education, and conservation.  

Over the last eighteen years, Elizabeth has held positions with steadily increasing levels of responsibility in business planning and strategy, accounting and finance, organizational development, human resources, and risk management.  Always focused on business growth and financial sustainability, Elizabeth has spent the last few years carefully selecting individuals with common values and creating a top talent team to put systems and procedures in place that increase the speed and availability of data for decision-making.  To ensure organization-wide continuity, Elizabeth leads the annual business planning process and provides coaching throughout the year to ensure all employees stick to the plan and focus on results.  Elizabeth helps others learn and grow by serving as an adjunct professor for the University of South Florida’s Continuing Education Program.  She earned an MBA from the University of South Florida, and is an HRCI and SHRM-Certified Professional in Human Resources.  Elizabeth was named Tampa Bay Business Journal’s CFO of the Year in the nonprofit category in 2012, and is an alumnus of the Leadership Tampa program, Class 2013.
