Alec R. Brophy

Managing Partner
ISA Solution

Mr. Brophy has over 20 years’ experience in operational planning, strategic planning, consulting, finance, accounting and auditing. Currently, he is the Managing Partner of an outsourced management and accounting firm, ISA Solution, LLC, specializing in the stabilization and acceleration of business growth. His is the owner and President of an employee benefits consulting company, SBG, based in Brandon, Florida. He also is the Chairman of BioBag Americas, a world leader in providing bags and films for the collection of organic waste for the purpose of composting. Mr. Brophy has served in several roles both as Managing Partner of ISA Solution and in other companies. He has served in private, public and not-for-profit entities as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Controller, Chief Operating Officer, Advisor to the Board of Directors, Corporate Governance Project Manager, Member of the Board of Directors, Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer, and VP of Finance and Administration. While serving these roles, Mr. Brophy has successfully completed numerous initiatives including the following:

• Outsourced the back office of companies in the Tampa Bay area by providing accounting, finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Process Improvement and business coaching services;
• Formalization and streamlining of the accounting function; hiring and training accounting staff; implementing accounting systems; and minimizing overhead costs by integrating accounting with operations;
• Establishment, formalization and enhancement of the financial reporting process at the business unit, corporate and investor level including standardized reporting packets for the Board of Directors and Executive management;
• Analysis of the financial health and evaluation of cash flow; providing recommendations for improvement and implementing recommendations; obtaining financing based on analysis in the form of fundraising, line of credit, asset based line of credit, private capital and public company capital raise;
• Implementation of numerous process improvement projects including financial reporting, Board organization, organizational re-alignment, technology utilization, logistics, procurement, human resources, management communication, accounts receivable management, and others;
• Management and completion of audit and compliance preparation services related to financial statement audit, bank audit, Service Organization audit and CPA firm documentation requests related to various projects;
• Successful completion of a 90 day interim Chief Financial Officer position with a publicly traded company in which he maintained SEC reporting requirements and successfully transitioned to the new Chief Financial Officer;
• Completion of numerous corporate governance initiatives ranging from Sarbanes-Oxley compliance of accelerated publicly traded companies to Board governance policies to project managing governance related initiatives in privately-held companies preparing to “go public” or merger with a public company; and,
• Management and execution of a seven (7) privately-held company merger, then completing a reverse merger into a publicly traded shell.

Prior to his involvement in ISA Solution, he served as Vice President of Finance and Administration of the Tampa Bay Partnership for Regional Economic Development, Inc., in which he directed the financial affairs of the organization including financial planning and related policies, accounting practices, external financial reporting, administering human resource functions as well as the organization’s office and technology systems. Previously, he started, developed and served as the Supervisor of Extended Services with a regional public accounting firm where, in addition to his audit practice, he assisted clients with Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002 compliance, strategic planning, operational audits, internal control reviews, development of projections and business plans, business valuations and strategic planning. Previously, he served as an accounting / administrative assistant with PF1 Professional Services, a technology recruiting company in Tampa, and Assistant to the President of Special Projects at an international medical equipment company in St. Petersburg, Florida.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Florida, is a 2005 graduate of Eckerd College’s Leadership Development Program and an Eagle Scout. He has completed the Certified Public Accountant exam in the State of Virginia and is currently not an active Certified Public Accountant. He is a graduate of Tampa Connection, a service-oriented leadership program, and a class member of the 2007- 2008 Leadership Brandon, focusing on building business leaders in the community. Mr. Brophy is an active member of the Brandon Chamber of Commerce and was a board member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, West Coast Chapter; board member of Wheels of Success; board member of Tampa Connection; board member of Brooker PTA; and, member of the School Advisory Council at Burns Elementary.
