About The Instructor

David is a retired partner of KPMG's, where he served in KPMG's State and Local Government Advisory Services Practice. He had 38 years of professional experience. David served as KPMG's Advisory Sector Leader for the State and Local Government Advisory Practice.  

David has served as engagement partner on operational, costing, technology, performance audit and financial audit engagements.  David serves as the Audit Committee Chair and member of the Board of Directors of Gordon Pointe Acquisition Corp.

David was appointed to the Florida Board of Accountancy by two Governors and served as Chair during calendar 2016 and 2018.  David worked with staff to recommend a 25% reduction in Administrative Rules.  David led efforts to implement Peer Review in Florida and to reduce unneeded regulations around CPA licensure.
David is a member of NASBA and is an alternate member of the nominations committee.  He also serves on the Joint UAA committee for NASBA and the AICPA.

David served on the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants Board of Governors from 1996 to 2010, serving as President in 2007-2008. David serves as Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the National Catholic Education Association where the organization restructured itself to be more responsive to members.  

In addition to his association and committee involvement, David has also served as Trustee for the FICPA Education Foundation, President of the ACA School Board, Associate Board Member for the Florida Citrus Sports Association, Treasurer of the ACA Endowment Fund, and Past President of the Leukemia Society of Central Florida Board of Trustees.
