About The Instructor
Bernie graduated from Indiana University’s business school with a degree in finance in 1993 and has been helping people with their investments and taxes ever since. He started his career as a financial adviser assisting small business owners with their investments and retirement plans. Since the daily recommendations and decisions that Bernie makes for his clients are so important, he decided that he should seek the highest level of professional certification – the CPA. In 2003, Bernie took the CPA exam and passed it on the first attempt.He now brings an even higher level of advice, and consistently implements tax-planning strategies for his clients to lower taxes and save more for retirement. The commitment to small business owners Bernie demonstrates has been recognized in Denver Magazine, 5280 and Forbes Magazines and he has shared his tax knowledge with the audience of Channel 9 News.
Bernie’s hobbies revolve around beer. He has been brewing beer since 1991 and has won countless awards for his brews. He is also a certified beer judge and spends many weekends judging beer at competitions throughout the state. It is a common scene to see clients leave the office with a complimentary bottle of Bernie’s award winning beer!
