About the Event

When: October 18, 2018 | Feather Sound Country Club, Main Ballroom | Clearwater

Time: 4:00 pm – 7:30 pm

Dress: Business Casual

Goals: In addition to our Red Carpet with photographer, Corporate Gift to all attendees & Grand Atmosphere;

  • Mingle with College Students majoring in Accounting, goal to have 40 students of 200 attendees
  • Raise Scholarship monies to grant three additional Scholarships for next year. These schools to be named by the Suncoast Chapter, the West Coast Chapter, and the Young CPAs of Tampa
  • Promote a healthy atmosphere for Accounting Students, and proper recognition of our 4th and 5th-year Accounting Scholarship Recipients


Special Guest & Event Ambassador:
Frederick Ellis Fisher


Fred is the Namesake of the “Fisher School of Accounting” at The University of Florida. This is Fred’s first public presentation in many years. He will talk about his life, his philosophy and his 20 points of living.

Fred will touch on his life as a CPA, a family man, and philanthropist for the last 38 years since retiring from accounting. At the young age of 87, Fred will share his very successful life with us. We truly are blessed to share this golden opportunity with Fred Fisher!

Fred chaired a $200 million Capital Campaign for UF, which raised $393 million, including Fred’s own gift to name the Fisher School of Accounting. At the time his was the largest private gift to a public university in the State of Florida.


SILVANA CAPALDI: “How to communicate with 4 different generations in the modern work place.”
A seasoned speaker, Ms. Capaldi is fun, humorous, and engages the audience with her subject. We all need to know what the other generations are thinking when they communicate in ways that we are not all familiar.

SCHOLARSHIP PRESENTATIONS: We will present FICPA Scholarship Foundation Scholarships to 4th and 5th–year Tampa Bay-area students who have qualified for scholarships of $2,000—$5,000. Each recipient will briefly address our audience.
