Michael A. Riskin, CPA, CFP, MST, PFS

Mike joined CPS in 2009 and comes to our firm with over 19 years of experience in tax and financial planning including 8 years at a regional CPA firm and 5 years as a division controller in a large manufacturer.
Mike is a CPA licensed in Florida and holds the AIPCA's Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation. In addition to holding the PFS, Mike is also a CFP®. He received his Masters of Science in Taxation from Florida International University and his Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics, majoring in accounting, from Lehigh University. Mike is a member of both the FICPA and AICPA.
Mike has been a featured speaker at various state and local financial planning conferences and seminars. He also produces a regular tax and financial planning newsletter for CPS.
He currently serves on various boards and committees including Immediate Past-President of the Estate Planning Council of Polk County, Board of Directors for the Kiwanis Club of Lakeland, Key Club Sponsor for Lakeland High School, President of Temple Emanuel in Lakeland, Contributing Member to the FICPA Financial Literacy Program, and is a graduate of Leadership Lakeland Class XXIX.
