Marc Hamilton,CPA
Mr. Hamilton currently serves as the CFO for CDG Engineers & Associates, Inc. in Andalusia, AL. Most previously, he served as the senior tax executive and Treasurer for the Westervelt Company (formerly Gulf States Paper Corporation) and had responsibility for the tax oversight of the company’s 500,000 acres of timberland, timber activities and land transactions in Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, South Carolina and Virginia.
Mr. Hamilton has 25 years of extensive tax and finance experience in developing and managing business and financial processes; focusing on best practices and cost reduction.
He is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a Masters of Tax Accounting and also holds a Bachelors in Accounting from Athens State University. Mr. Hamilton holds an Alabama Certified Public Accountant license as well as a certification as a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).
Marc’s former employers also include Saks Inc., KPMG, LLP, and Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Hamilton is the current chair of the Board of Directors for the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants.
