FICPA Educational Foundation

The FICPA regards the education of accounting professionals as an important ingredient in ensuring the integrity and success of tomorrow’s CPAs.

Established in 1959, the FICPA Educational Foundation awards graduate and undergraduate scholarships to 4th and 5th year accounting students at Florida colleges and universities. The Foundation has distributed over $2 million in scholarships and grants to over 2,000 accounting students across the state.

The granting of scholarships is based on educational achievement, financial need and the demonstration of professional, social and charitable activities by the candidate.

Funds to provide the scholarships come from member contributions. Contributions to the FICPA Educational Foundation are deductible for federal income tax purposes. Contributions may be made to the FICPA Educational Foundation on a number at different levels:

Life Membership
Pledges to donate $500, payable over a five-year period. Upon becoming a Pledged Life Member, you will receive an engraved plaque in appreciation for the gift.

Fellow Membership
Life Members who wish to continue assisting the Foundation. Members contribute an additional $500, payable in equal annual payments over a five-year period. Upon becoming a Pledged Fellow Member, you will receive an engraved plaque in appreciation for the gift.

Diamond Life Membership
Pledge $2,500 payable during a five-year period. In recognition, each member receives a gold lapel pin accented with a diamond. (Credit can be given to Fellow and Life Members who wish to join this category.)

Platinum Endowment Membership
Pledge $5,000, payable over a five-year period. Upon becoming a pledged Platinum Member, you will receive a 14 kt. white gold lapel pin jacket that holds the “Diamond Life” 14kt. gold lapel pin. The last $2,500 of the Platinum pledge will go into the Platinum Endowment Fund. In addition, names of Platinum Members will appear on a plaque on the “Wall of Honor” in the FICPA offices in Tallahassee. (Credit can be given to Diamond Life, Fellow and Life Members who wish to increase their membership to this level.)

Annual Membership
Donate a minimum of $30 during the fiscal year.

In Memoriam Giving
Allows donations to be made in memory of another individual for a minimum gift of $125.
