Continuing Professional Education

Expand your professional knowledge by participating in your association’s CPE programs! CPE courses are available to members at a discount. These courses will assist you in complying with all of the changing professional standards, updating you on your profession and enhancing your career overall. You can choose from a selection of nearly 325 seminars, conferences and educational programs in 13 Florida cities.

FICPA CPE Catalog and CPE Publications
Finding the right course at the right location for you is an easier task with the help of the FICPA CPE Catalog and other informative CPE mailings. Simple and convenient, the CPE Catalog includes information on course dates, locations, credit hours, course descriptions, and registrations. Additional CPE mailings announce various FICPA programs throughout the year. You can also view and register from the FICPA catalog online.

Accounting Shows
The cornerstone of the FICPA’s CPE programming is its annual accounting shows. The Florida Accounting & Business Expo^TM  in June and the FICPA Annual Accounting Show^® in September are your chances to see first hand a wide range of products and services that serve the financial professional. Representatives from national and local companies are available to demonstrate the latest technology and provide product knowledge. You also have the opportunity at both shows to earn CPE credit at substantially reduced prices. Admittance to both accounting trade shows is free to FICPA members and their guests.

University Conferences
FICPA-university sponsored conferences allow you to interact with accounting faculty and alumni in an educational setting. The FICPA co-sponsors annual conferences with schools of accounting and the Beta Alpha Psi chapters in four Florida universities: Florida State University; the University of Florida; the University of South Florida; and Florida Gulf Coast University.

Specific Conferences
Specific to a particular practice area, these conferences better serve and target the educational needs of specific member segments. Choose from one, two, or three-day conferences on state or federal taxation, construction industry, industry, not-for-profit organizations, health care and much more.

Chapter CPE
Each of the FICPA’s chapters may sponsor one to three hour CPE sessions for chapter members. These sessions are typically held once a month and provide members with an opportunity to earn CPE credit while exchanging information and news with other CPAs.

In-House and Self-Study
Convenient and economical, FICPA In-House and Self-Study CPE gives you the flexibility to choose your learning environment and schedule according to your available time. Detailed educational programs cover all fields of study including professional, tax and staff training series.
